Winter Warmer Working Bee, Food Forest Ashburton

Come and join us for a fun, family-friendly day at the Food Forest!
Spend some time amongst the gardens, help plant some native ground covers and meet the locals! Learn more about our local ‘food forest’, and our sustainability principles.
Stay warm with a FREE hot drink, soup and toast prepared especially for us by our local Habitat Café. Choose from:
The kids will enjoy a FREE hot chocolate and their own dedicated planting activities, where they will make their own 'newspaper pot' and plant their own seed to take home! Activities will be facilitated by CERES, children will require adult supervision.

Everyone is welcome! Registrations are required for catering and planning purposes.

- Delicious hot soup - 'Burnt tomato and fennel' or 'Smooth roasted cauliflower'

Please note that this is an all-weather event. Please ensure you bring warm clothes and wet-weather gear! The event will only be cancelled in response to extreme weather warnings, such as storms, hail or very strong winds. All registered guests will be emailed on the morning of the event should we be required to cancel.
Shelter is available for lunch and children's activities. A playground and public toilets are located nearby.
