Acting & Singing for Teens (Years 7-9)
Are you a teen that loves performing?
This course is for those wishing to learn or further their performance skills for stage and screen.
During this course you will develop skills in acting, voice and movement, and gain the confidence through rehearsals to present a short but sweet performance by the end of term!

During the course, students will:
- Develop self-confidence
- Learn how the voice works, develop safe vocal practice for projection in stage performance and singing exercises to maintain a healthy singing technique
- Voice and Song: Learn musical theatre material and explore the importance of storytelling through song
- Act: Learn how to develop characters through vocal adjustment and physical movement
- Develop the skills to analyse and interpret text to then practice and perform a selected monologue
- Dance & Movement: Develop co-ordination skills, dance technique and movement
- Performance: Apply acting, singing and movement skills learnt during the course to perform a musical number in a safe and fun environment
Course Facilitator
Classes are facilitated by Belinda Jenkin, a highly accomplished actor, writer/composer, Performing Arts teacher and graduate of NIDA & America’s Musical Theatre Conservatory.
