We are pleased to announce that the Craig Family Centre will be reopening its doors on Monday, 13th July 2020!
We look forward to welcoming you back to the Centre whenever you are ready. Please find a Term 3 Course Guide by clicking here.
We have missed connecting with you in person and the sense of community that it brings, which the Craig holds so dear.
As we reopen the Centre, the safety and wellbeing of our members, staff and visitors will continue to be our number one priority.
The way we operate the Centre may appear different to before, as we have implemented additional safety and hygiene measures to ensure everybody feels comfortable and safe to attend the Centre and participate in our Programs.

Safety Measures
To ensure our Centre is COVID-safe and aligned with Government health advice, we will be applying the following safety measures across whole-of-Centre:
- Increased hygiene. You will find hand sanitiser at all entry and exit points, as well as in high traffic areas and shared spaces. It is expected that all staff, members and visitors sanitise their hands before entering.
- Increased cleaning. We have increased our cleaning levels – the entire Centre will be cleaned thoroughly each day. High touch points such as doors, handles and light switches in shared spaces and high traffic area will be sanitised regularly throughout the day. Antibacterial wipes will be available in each room for visitors to wipe down equipment as required. Staff will also be wiping down equipment regularly after use.
- Social distancing requirements. A distance of 1.5 metres between people will be required throughout the Centre. All spaces within the facility have been measured and room limitations will be implemented. Staff, members and visitors will be required to observe and comply with room limitations – doors of all meeting rooms will be clearly marked.
- Booking and signing in. All visitors to the Centre will be required to sign in as they entre their allocated meeting room. We encourage all program participants to book ahead to avoid disappointment (due to room restrictions) and bring their own pen wherever possible.
- Staff training. All staff have completed the Council’s COVID-safe training, in line with the Department of Health and Human Services.
- Processes for a confirmed case. In the event of a confirmed COVID-19 case, we have a plan in place to ensure adequate reporting, tracing and deep cleaning occurs before the facility reopens. Everyone who enters our Centre will have their details recorded to assist with case tracing.
