Cyber Safety & Body Safety Parent Workshop

This 2-hour workshop provides a comprehensive overview of body safety techniques and awareness for children in preschool to late primary school.
It aims to support parents and carers in preventing childhood sexual abuse and supporting children in enjoying healthy, respectful relationships now and in the future, on and off-line.

This not-to-be-missed workshop is presented by Body Safety Australia and subsidised by the Craig Family Centre.
All parents, careers and educators are encouraged to attend, however please note that the workshop is not appropriate for children.

- Digital technology, grooming and abuse prevention
- Childhood sexual abuse: Risks, myths & misconceptions
- Body safety: Consent, assertiveness & identifying trusted adults
- Age-appropriate play
- Practical body safety strategies to use at home

Deanne Carson is the founder & CEO of Body Safety Australia. She is passionate about empowering young people and their communities. She approaches 'taboo' topics with compassion, understanding and factual information. Deanne's presentations are free of judgement, shame or shock tactics.
She has presented research papers at Australian and international conferences covering topics such as body safety, consent, sexuality education, and social media.
