Maternal and Child Health Nurses are available to assist mothers with babies and young children. Young mothers support groups and post-natal depression groups are also available.

Country Women's Association Ashburton
The Country Women's Association (CWA) of Victoria is an organisation for country and city women living in Victoria and bordering towns. It is a vibrant association and aims to improve living conditions by community service, particularly as they affect the welfare of women and children.
The CWA is a self-funded volunteer philanthropic organisation with a focus on friendship, personal development and advocacy. The association encourages advocating on community, social and environment issues.

The Edge Community Fund
Based at the Craig Family Centre, the Edge Community Fund is a community fund providing opportunities for young people to participate in activities crucial to their personal development, sense of community belonging and self-esteem. The fund aims to support local children in Ashburton, Ashwood and Chadstone who may otherwise miss out on play groups, kindergarten, school excursions and camps, sporting and club activities.
