Our Values
Craig Family Centre is committed to creating a child safe organisation where all children and young people are safe and feel safe. At Craig Family Centre we have a greater focus on safety for those children and young people who are considered more at risk of abuse and neglect. Craig Family Centre actively supports and facilitates participation and inclusion of Aboriginal children, children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds (CALD), those who are unable to live at home, children with a disability and/or children from sexuality and gender diverse groups (LGBTQIA+). We have a commitment to managing both physical and online environments to keep children and young people safe through governance, systems, and processes. This statement provides the framework for the organisational approach to complying with best practice by aligning with Victorian Child Safe Standards in conjunction with the guiding National Principles for Child Safety. We have a zero tolerance to abuse, racism, discrimination, and bullying. We have an explicit commitment to the cultural safety of Aboriginal children. |

The Craig Family Centre respectfully acknowledges the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the land on which we work, play, and learn. We pay our respect to Indigenous peoples and cultures of Australia and the Torres Strait Islands, including Elders past, present and emerging.
