Stage 4 Restrictions - Changes to Children's Services
The Victorian Premier’s announcement of ‘Stage 4’ lockdown restrictions has meant that many families will be unable to attend our centre for the next 6 weeks.
Some families, however, are still eligible to participate in our Children Services programs. As a result, the Craig Family Centre will remain open for vulnerable children and children of permitted workers.
The Craig Family Centre is currently running on a reduced timetable, with sessions being offered on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am to 1pm. These session times will be reviewed as demand changes.
For information on child care eligibility during this period, please visit the Department of Health and Human Services at www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/permitted-worker-scheme-covid-19
If you are unsure whether your child meets the criteria of a vulnerable child, and wish to attend over the next 6 weeks, please contact Rose Camwell at the Craig Family Centre for further assistance at elsp@craigfc.org.au
Those seeking childcare need to carry the Permitted Workers Permit (including childcare) document. If you wish to attend the Craig during Stage 4 restrictions, please ensure this permit has been completed and signed by you and your employer. We cannot accept any children without a copy of this form.
Please note that our office hours have been reduced. We suggest any queries or feedback relating to Children Services over the next 6 weeks be emailed to administration@craigfc.org.au for a prompt reply.
For all matters relating to our Community Programs or Neighbourhood House, please contact Mary Heath on 0474 171 124 or communityprograms@craigfc.org.au
Wishing you all the best.

We look forward to welcoming you back soon - in the meantime, let’s stay connected!
By now, most of you will have heard the Victorian Premier’s announcement that ‘Stage 3’ lockdown restrictions are back in place for greater Melbourne as of today, Thursday 9 July, for at least 6 weeks.
Sadly, this means that our plans to return to the Craig Family Centre for Term 3 have been suspended. This closure will be reviewed on Wednesday, 19 August 2020 in line with advice given by the Victorian Premier. Whilst we are all very disappointed, we understand this is necessary to keep our community safe.
The good news is that we will continue to offer many of our programs online as we did throughout Term 2 - plus some exciting NEW workshops too! Stay tuned!
Our community is very important to us here at The Craig. We are working hard to ensure that we continue to serve you as best we can during these very difficult and unprecedented times. If there are any digital-friendly topics of interest during this time, please let us know. You can contact us via return email or by calling us directly. Our phone lines will remain open throughout the term.
Please note that our Child Services - Kindergarten and Occasional Care Programs - will operate as usual, unless otherwise advised by the Government.
For up-to-date information on Coronavirus please visit the Department of Health and Human Services athttps://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus or call them on 1800 675 398.
Wishing you all the best.
