Youth Foundations Victoria (YFV) is an exciting new initiative of the Victorian Government’s Office For Youth, which aims to enable young people in disadvantaged communities to make a meaningful contribution to their communities.
YFV currently has eight project sites across the state. The Craig Family Centre in partnership with the Southern Ethnic Advisory and Advocacy Council [SEAAC] are undertaking the YFV – Ashburton, Ashwood and Chadstone project.
The Youth Foundations project will be made up of a diverse group of young people aged 12 to 25 years who will be involved in fundraising and funding youth-lead activities that are needed in their local community. The project will encourage and support young people’s participation within their community, increase their leadership and volunteering skills, and other opportunities within the community.
Any young people, from diverse backgrounds, who are interested in participating in this exciting new project or for any further information please contact Verity Nicholson.
